Sapir Taib

Sapir Taib serves as the Senior Program Director at JIMENA: Jews Indigenous to the Middle East. JIMENA was founded in 2002 in San Francisco to educate and engage student and adult communities in the heritage and histories of the one million Jewish refugees from the Middle East and North Africa and their descendants. Click here to watch JIMENA’s Chag HaBanot 2020 Hanukkah celebration featuring Muslim, Christian, and Jewish women from Syria, Israel, Morocco, and the United States. The event included a concert by LALA Tamar, an interactive dance performance by Mizrahi Dance Archive founder, Jackie Barzvi (Belly Dancing with Jackie), and a beautiful menorah lighting led by the first woman rabbi from Morocco, Tsipi Gabai.
