Professor Dubrovsky left an honestly true legacy of taking care in writing about small American towns and their people. From 2011-2013 I walked the trail of her breadcrumbs, visiting Allan Greene's farm in Farmingdale and peeking in the chicken coops. Notable were the good words and appreciative comments of Dubrovsky's book. Her book brings to mind the need to ensure history is not forgotten, or worse, rewritten out of context.
