Since my daughter is not into dolls this new addition to the American Girl line-up came as a complete surprise. Rebecca Rubin while delightfully alliterative is hardly the most commmon Jewish American woman's name, then or now. I suppose I could write to the company and see if they would share the information, but that would kind of spoil the fun.
