Who is this workshop designed for?
This workshop is for anyone interested in celebrating the lives of Jewish women. Facilitators from a variety of backgrounds and professions are welcome: Synagogue educators, community leaders, educational directors, curriculum developers, day school teachers, public school teachers, administrators, museum educators, art facilitators, Hillel professionals, Federation representatives, sisterhood members, heads of Jewish sororities, political activists, social workers, and more. No studio or visual art experience is necessary.
When and where will the workshop take place?
The workshop will take place on March 12-14, 2023 in Atlanta, GA.
What are the goals of the workshop?
Participants will leave the workshop with the tools and techniques to guide their communities in collecting Jewish women’s stories and celebrating at a shared community event.
What will happen after the workshop?
JWA will provide ongoing support and consultation throughout 2023 to help tailor this project to participants’ individual communities.
Participants agree to implement a version of the Full Disclosure program with their institution, organization, or group by the end of 2023.
How are participants selected?
There are ten spots for participants from around the country. Thanks to a generous grant from the Covenant Foundation, travel, lodging, and workshop expenses will be covered. Participants (or their sponsoring institutions) are responsible for a $180 registration fee (if this fee presents an obstacle to participation, please contact us).
