The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory was a horrible place and over thousands of women died from the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. It was unhumane that the doors were kept shut during work days giving no exits except the windows during the fire. Many of the women jumped rather than be engulfed by the flames. Those who were on the higher level floors died because the saftey nets were not strong enough to hold a woman who jumped from that hight.
