Hello,

I am writing to you from Longue Vue House and Gardens, the former estate of Edith and Edgar Stern, which now operates as a educational and cultural nonprofit. Our mission is to preserve and use the historical and artistic legacy of Longue Vue and its creators to educate and inspire people to pursue beauty and civic responsibility in their lives.

Following Hurricane Katrina and the levee failures that caused extensive flooding, the staff and board of Longue Vue felt it was especially important to carry on the Sterns' civic work. Since then, Longue Vue has been very active in helping to regreen Pontchartrain Park, which suffered severe damage to both homes and green spaces. Pontchartrain Park, one of the first planned neighborhoods for African American professionals, was selected as the Sterns were very involved in its development.

I would appreciate it if you would consider posting some information about Longue Vue on your site. Please let me know if I can provide you with anything else.

Thank you for your consideration.
