My father, was in the first group of children that went with Recha Freier and her daughter on the inaugural trip that took them from Germany to Palestine. He was 13. In his opinion and the 12 others who made it with her, she was a remarkable woman. Without her foresight and courage he and the others would have been sent to the concentration camps.
