Baron left Europe for Palestine to pursue her career and to realize her Zionist aspirations. There was no pogrom in Uzda and the town was never destroyed. Uzda experienced a flare up of violence and many houses and businesses were burned with the retreat of Polish soldiers in July 1920. This was ten years after Baron had already emigrated.
