Kate Bigam is a trained journalist, a social media maven and an avid pursuer of social justice. Though she grew up as one of only two Jewish students in a large, suburban-Ohio high school, she is now proud to say that some of her best friends are Jewish - which sounds like the punchline of a joke but isn't! Though she was always loud, liberal and opinionated, Kate honed all three traits while living in Washington, DC., where she fought for civil rights, human rights, and various other rights of vital importance. She can most often be found blogging prolifically, watching "Law & Order: SVU" reruns, and pointing out societal injustices to unsuspecting friends, family and whomever else will listen.
