Dear Mirah,

I want to assure you that the survey is only one component of a multi-part research strategy. We wholeheartedly agree with you that adoptees' voices are crucial to the success of our project. As Renee mentioned in her blog post, the next stage for us is a series of oral history interviews with adoptees, without whose viewpoints we would have only a very partial version of the story. Jayne and I have both done extensive reading of memoirs and blogs by adult adoptees, and their perspectives will be an important part of the book. We do appreciate your comments, and please don't hesitate to be back in touch.
