Anne Summers

Dr. Anne Summers is an Honorary Research Fellow in History at Birkbeck, University of London, and Chair of the Friends of The Women's Library. Formerly a Wellcome Trust Research Fellow and Curator of Modern Historical Manuscripts at the British Library, her latest monograph is Christian and Jewish Women in Britain, 1880-1940: Living with Difference.

Helen Bentwich was an active community organizer, activist, and local politician. She and her husband, Norman, aided in helping people escape Nazi persecution and split their time between Palestine and England for many years.
