Louise Mayo

Louise Mayo is professor emeritus and former chair of the Department of History and
Political Science at the County College of Morris. She has a Ph.D. in American Jewish history. She is the author of The Ambivalent Image: Nineteenth Century America’s Perception of the Jew, The House Divided: America in the Era of Civil War and Reconstruction and a forthcoming biography of James K. Polk.
