Ruth Mandel is director of the Eagleton Institute of Politics and Board of Governors Professor of Politics at Rutgers University. She writes and speaks widely on the topics of women, leadership, and politics and is the author of In the Running: The New Woman Candidate. Since 1991, Mandel has been a member of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council, and she was named vice-chair of the board by President Clinton in 1993.
