Stephan F. Brumberg is Professor Emeritus, Brooklyn College and the Graduate Center, the City University of New York. He has written articles and book chapters on the impact of religious diversity and immigration in American schools and is the author of Going to America, Going to School: The Jewish Immigrant Public School Encounter in Turn-of-the-Century New York City (1986).
