John Baron

John Baron is professor of musicology at Newcomb College of Tulane University, where he holds the Schawe professorship and is chair of the department. He is one of the founders of the Jewish Studies Program at Tulane, in which he regularly teaches courses on Jewish music. Baron has written on chamber music, baroque music, the music of New Orleans and Jewish music and is the editor of a biography of Amy Beach. He is currently preparing a history of Jewish music.

Jeanne Franko

Jeanne Franko was a violinist and pianist who performed with her four siblings and had a solo career. After making her debut in Paris before she was fourteen, Franko went on to tour most of the United States with her siblings and later with the Jeanne Franko Trio, perform with many orchestras as a violin soloist, and teach music in New York.
