Rebecca Brenner is a PhD candidate in history at American University in Washington, DC. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Mount Holyoke College with majors in history and philosophy. Rebecca currently lives in Arlington, Virginia, frequenting many cafes while writing her dissertation on religion-state relations in US history through the lens of Sunday mail. In her spare time, Rebecca writes for the US Intellectual History (USIH) blog, plays soccer, and participates in the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue community.
