Kyla Kupferstein Torres is a writer, educator, and NYC native. Her work can be seen on Lilith.com and LiteraryMama.com, as well as in the anthology The Beigeing of America (2leafpress). She is the 2011 recipient of the Bertha Walker scholarship from the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA. She is the managing editor of the National Magazine Award-winning magazine Stranger’s Guide. She lives in Oakland, CA with her husband and son.
