Allison Abrams is a rising senior at Binghamton University, majoring in Judaic Studies and minoring in Education. Allison grew up in Queens, NY and attended LaGuardia High School for the Arts where she studied voice. At Binghamton, she is a soprano in Jewish a cappella and the current director of Keshet, the Jewish LGBTQ community of Hillel, where she works to provide a safe space for LGBTQ Jews and to bridge the gap between the various LGBTQ organizations on campus. Allison is excited to be interning with the Jewish Women's Archive, where she will be working on collecting oral histories through the Story Aperture project. Through her time at JWA, Allison aims to delve deeper into the non-profit world concerning social justice, gender issues, and Jewishness, three of her favorite topics.
