In the late 1940s Teresa Zarnower painted some semi-figurative watercolours. Czeslaw Milosz wrote a poem in Polish about her death, which begins:

With no family or friends, in that great, great city Which is a graveyard of lunatic liners

and ends

Teresa lay dying.....for years, not hours.

Teresa Zarnower's brother emigrated to London, where he lived well into his nineties.
