I just started reading her book (titled above). Having skimmed through it last night, I look forward to reading it thoroughly. It is a pleasure to read a book related to these two notions, juxtaposed, by a Jewish woman - who therefore reminds me of Golda Meyer, who assumed a position of power way before there was President Obama and his roster of appointed women into positions of power.

Before Alan Dershowitz brought out Chutzpah into the American and Jewish scene, there was the great, but "don't rock the boat," Jacob Schiff.

Now it seems we have a Jewish woman scholar who hasn't quite taken the step of introducing the notion which the Antisemites call, "Jewish Power." But a non-Jewish author, Steven L. Pease, has produced for us a wonderful "compendium" entitled: "The Golden Age of Jewish Achievement: The Compendium of a Culture, a People, and Their Stunning Performance":

The question I pose for myself is "who will take the next step and merge Jewish accomplishments in the spirit of the Ancient Greek Olympic spirit?" Who will integrate Hebraic and Jewish productive accomplishments into the history of the Mediterranean basin? It is the Arabs who give us the "Abrahamic" interconnectedness, and even call us all the "People of the Book" (while omitting the introduction of the Alphabet first unto the Greeks through the "{Semite" Cadmus. Now I look forward to studying closely Prof. Ruth R. Wisse's scholarly observations regarding "Jews and Power."
