Monday, 28 June 2010. It was heartwarming and extremely informative to hear about my great-aunt, Rosa Welt-Straus. She was the wife of my great uncle, Louis Straus (1859-1907) who was the brother of my grandfather. William Straus (1864-1926). While I knew that she and her daughter, Nellie, had left the United States to live abroad. I had no idea of her importance in the history of Israel. Thanks to the work of my fellow Morningstar genealogists. this information has been revealed. If anyone out there has further information on Nellie Straus-Mochenson, it would be much appreciated.
