Aside from her last name, there is no indication or verification in any documentation that Simone Simon herself identified as being Jewish. However, being a film actress, she chose to retain her original last name, which could have been considered "Jewish sounding"; to a movie going public. Historically it was unusual for American film studios to retain "ethnic sounding names" for their film personalities.
