Very good article, although I noticed one strange thing. You mention that Charlotte was imprisoned by the Vichy government in May 1940, yet Philip Petain's Vichy "French State" was only established after the French surrendered to the Germans on 22 June 1940. Surely it was the Allied French government, and not the Vichy regime, who imprisoned German nationals. However, Charlotte's story is fascinating and the article was a great read.
