Apparentlly Herber Katzki was camera shy. I have found a photo portrait of him and a lot of archival documents signed by him or bearing his name while he was stationed in Istanbul and arranging to save many Jewish lives from occupied Balkan countries. I have most of these facsimlies in my forthcoming (by end of August 2009) book titled "SHOAH: Turkey, the US and the UK."
Guess what? Turkey comes out smelling like a rose when compared to the US, UK and especially Canada in terms of saving Jewish lives during the Shoah. Yes, I have reached that conclusion by examining hard facts. I have also discovered that historians love to hate Turkey.
Please do jump in if you have something to add to these findings.
