I am Bracha Ramot's daughter. I just saw what is written about her in the Jewish Women's Encyclopedia. I think what is missing is the emphasis on her special personality as a doctor who is well known not only as very professional in her field, but also as very compassionate, warm and caring. The committee who chose her for the Israel Price mentioned it in their reasons for awarding her the price. There are a lot of wonderful doctors in the world. There are also a lot of good people. However, there are very few wonderful doctors who are also wonderful people, who are role models to others in their humanistic attitude to their patients and to people in general. I believe this is what made my mother so unique and that's why I think it should be stressed in the Encyclopedia. thanks
