I found this article to be 100% misleading and it is clear the author is agenda driven. Though the Maimonides lived almost 1000 years ago, and wrote mostly in Egypt, a Muslim nation, he was not anti-women, or in favor of putting women down as the author loves to make up. He was actually quite intelligent and liberal. I suggest the author stops attending these conservative twisted sessions, which try to depict Orthodoxy and all Rabbis as controlling, and actually step foot in a normal home in which strict observance is kept. I personally extend an open invitation to the author, and all those who agree with her to come for a Shabbat to my home. I have always liked Maimonides views on philosophy and his intensive adn extensive medical career, and I am in no way an Orthodox oppressed woman you wish you could stereotype. (Trust me I'm pretty strong about going to a top-notch college, and going to Graduate School, etc.)
