Just wanted to say what a wonderful poet Amy Levy is. The more you read her the deeper she goes. Also how significant the publication of Daniel Deronda [1876] must have been to her, a girl of 15. Deronda is a magnificent novel. One can only wonder if Amy hoped eventually to write something of the sort herself.
