Am a member of the North Shore Civil War Round Table ( Huntington N.Y) and interested in American Jewish History. Recently (4/17-19) the Round Table toured Petersberg and Appamattux Court House tracing Lee's escape route in April 1865. Our last stop was Blanchard Church and cemetery in Petersburg. Came across Rachel Lazarus' grave in the cemetery. No other family member buried there. Assume that other members of the family remained Jewish.
