My great-grandmother had an older sister Ida Fein Landy. Her husband was the first to arrive in America and shortened the name from Landsman to Landy. He informed his brothers' (10 in all; I only have names of the first 5) to do the same. I grew up knowing Anna and Rose Landy, their 2 sisters Pearl Landy Wise and Kate Landy Wise, Joe Landy and the other brothers' name escapes me at the moment. I remember that Rose and Anna used to go to Landy family reunions in Cleveland. Am I correct? I live in Far Rockaway, NY and Kate Landy Wise has a great granddaughter that lives and works in the same school as I do. I'd love to see a picture of Rae Landy and to show it to my cousin.
