I am the daughter of Maurice Carr, Esther Kreitman's son. I just wanted to rectify a few things. Esther's parents, especially her mother, neglected her but did not abuse her. And her marriage was never dissolved. She and her husband moved from Antwerp to London in 1913 with their baby, my father who was then 6 months old. She hardly ever left London, once to go to Swider in Poland to meet her family again, and years later she spent some months in Warsaw. I know all this from my father's as yet unpublished Memoirs. I would also like to correct a mistake regarding him. He had a long career as a journalist, first in Paris, not Palestine, then in Israel. Best wishes Hazel Carr
