I served as Ms. Kanin's secretary/assistant in the early 80's when she worked with Mrs. Lillian Gallo in Century City. I do wish there was a way you could get this message to Ms. Kanin and let her know what in inspiration she was to me. I didn't have "Google" at the time, I just knew she was something very special. A legend. Now that I read of her many talents and her hard climb to the top, I realize what an honor it is to have known and served her. At the time I worked with her I only regret I never found the black patent shoes she needed for her Oscar presentation. What an interesting woman.
