It is remarkable, that among all the mentioned participants the kee note speaker is not only not mentioned by name, she is not mentioned at all: At the time I was the only woman Rabbi serving in German-Jewish communities. The content of my talk dealt with questions of how we try to encourage and enable our constituents, mainly immigrants from the former SU, to develop the Jewish side of their lives and become practicing and competent in their Jewishness. Why in this otherwise fine article is my success not noteworthy?
