Very interesting history period I have not heard any of these stories before, but my mother and grandmother were in the hiding north of Volvos in the mountains I did get to visit the mountains. Another great heroine was Reina Azuz, also a partisana. She was the highest ranking female Communist officer, her university studies being disrupted by the German occupation. She helped save the Jewish community of Volos and the surrounding areas by going door-to-door and warning people to leave with escort with andartists.
