The British translator Henry Reed produced two translations that were recorded for BBC Radio: La parrucca (in 1976); Fragola e panna (in 1973). Reed also translated L'inserzione for a production directed by Sir Laurence Olivier and starring Joan Plowright at the Old Vic, London, in 1968. In fact the Olivier production preceded any Italian production.
