I had the good fortune of meeting Helen at " All That Jazz" , a night club in Houston, Texas back in 1977. After her set I went up to her at the bar and complimented her, and she responded by saying how nice it was for someone of my age to be interested in her music. I was nineteen at the time and still wish that I had thought to acquire her autograph and a picture standing beside her. I still listen to her recordings today.
