Ambassador Ruth Farkas was indeed a wonderful woman....I had the privilege of meeting her many years ago. Both my Mom and my aunt (mom's sister) worked for her when she and her husband owned the beautiful beachfront property Laughing Waters in Jamaica.....After they sold that property in the '70's my mom came to work with her as her household helper and cook in New York and at their house in Palm Beach, Florida......When she went to Luxembourg as Ambassador, my mom also went to work there with her....Both she and her husband George cared a lot for my mom and our family and my mom was one of the last persons to be by her bedside when she died.....To this day my mom who is now 87years old still speak of those 30+ wonderful years she spent working with Ambassador Ruth Farkas and George Farkas.
