He married Rebecca who seems to have been born in 1800 and she would have been of childbearing age when Rose was born. There is a record of David's burial from the Mikveh Israel Jewish Congregation, Philadelphia and this confirms his age at death was 91 and there is a later annotation by someone saying he could be father of actress Rose Eytinge. There is also a comment that his burial took place in such a manner that it took into account that he had been married to a Christian. So it is possible that Rebecca was a gentile.
