I am just beginning to learn about Jewish history and read that when the Persians defeated the Babylonians, they allowed the Jews to return to Israel. If my info is correct, that occurred in 538 BCE. So do you know why Esther and Mordecai were still in Susa? Were they not allowed to return or was it their choice?
