If you read the verses about Jephthah’s daughter carefully, there is lot of emphasis on her virginity, and not her death. That leads me to believe she was dedicated to G-d and not sacrificed. I don’t think G-d would be pleased with a human sacrifice in His name. Other commentaries support this view, also.
