My dear mother of blessed memory passed away in 1996. She told me numerous stories about the Clara de Hirsch home during the years she resided there- 1929 thru 1931.She also took the basic courses there as well as attending Julia Richman High School. Mom had a tremendous sense of gratitude toward the home as for her it was an island of stability where she was introduced to broader horizons.
