Unfortunately I was not familiar with the career of Dr. Marietta Blau and your article has again brought home the extraordinary accomplishments of such Jewish women. It required a powerful mind to work in and understand the Physics of those early days. Dr. Marietta Blau, Dr. Lise Meitner and others took on this challenge in spite of severe cultural adversity, discrimination and even hatred. There is a certain Courage inherent in such persons that should be taught to all students today as a valuable lesson in addition to the scientific accomplishments.
