All-of-a-Kind Family was one of my favorite books when I was little. I read it until it fell apart, then taped it up and read it again. I loved the homey, cozy aspect of it, and, wished that I had a family that close knit.

I am not Jewish, but, I have a great respect for Judaism. I loved learning about the customs and observances through this book. I wanted so much to go to the market with Mama and the girls, and spend my after lunch penny on something delicious and share it with my sisters, then have a beautiful meal together, followed by book time. I wanted to eat hamentaschen on Purim and go visiting family and friends. I wanted to jump into the book and be the sixth sister (maybe Sarah's twin, so we could be the landing in the steps and stairs.)

Thank you for writing this blog and reminding me of how wonderful this book is!
