Positive and upbeat portrait of modern Jewish woman who wanted both , her Judaism and her feminism. I admire Belda Lindenbaum. I too wanted both, but I left Orthodox Judaism in the early 1960's as a college student; I have been more comfortable as a feminist in both the Conservative and Reform Movements. Women Rabbis didn't exist When I was making this decision.
