thanks for being honest. the word cisgender is incredibly liberating to someone of trans experience. When it is possible to think the question "what causes someone to be cisgender? is it upbringing or something hormonal in utero", we deconstruct the question asked of us so often. In a perfect world "cisgender" (it's a soft c) would be rediculous...but then again, I wouldn't risk arrest for using the bathroom. -arele
