As one of the Board of the Jewish Women's Archive, you know how important our mothers were, in preserving the stories, and in the history of the community. Now is the time to support women who write after seventy years of living in our homeland.
If you can spare a minute of your time, I'd like to introduce myself: my name is Ilana and I am part of the Bene Israel community in Israel. I've been involved in promoting the Indian-Jewish community in Israel for many years.
The project dearest to my heart is one I've been working on for nearly 10 years now - an anthology of women's stories, Indian-Jewish women who made Aliyah to Israel. These are untold stories that have been silenced for many years by shame, social pressure and religious oppression. And they are finally coming into the light.
Would you consider sharing your knowledge of the Jewish women's world and give me advice to whom should I send information about our book in the USA?
The book "Mother India, Father Israel" was written by Jewish-Indian women's in Israel about their history in this country, the "stories behind the stories" and the unique challenges they face.
I look forward to hearing from you. Please to not hesitate to contact me for additional information.

The book's publication depends on the success of our Headstart project: https://www.headstart.co.il/project.aspx?id=22278
