Sylvia Schur was an inspirational woman, businesswoman, chef and friend.
I had the privilege of working for Mrs Schur at her Creative Food Services test kitchens. I was always inspired by her quest for knowledge and curiosity. Sylvia was always ready to jump in her Volvo and run into NYC from New Rochelle for a conference, event or meeting, and driving with her was another adventure. She had a hard time keeping interested in driving and wanted to look up a recipe or pull a file from her briefcase.
Her joy for life was contagious and he culinary world was enhanced from her being in it.
