I'm so proud of my state right now. :-) Thank you for this lovely post.

When gay marriage first became legal, I called a florist in Cambridge and asked them to deliver a bouquet of flowers to a random couple standing in line to get married. It was only a little thing, but it felt really good to wish strangers mazal tov and to know how much marriage meant to them in that moment.
