Ann Lewis served as White House director of communications under Bill Clinton before lending her talents to Hillary Rodham Clinton’s own historic bid for the presidency. Lewis had worked as head of the political division of the Democratic National Committee, vice president for public policy of Planned Parenthood, and deputy campaign manager for the Clinton-Gore reelection campaign before becoming director of communications and then counselor to President Bill Clinton. In 2000, she became senior advisor for Hillary Clinton’s senate campaign, later serving as director of communications for HILLPAC and Friends of Hillary in Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign. A former member of the board of the Jewish Women’s Archive, As of 2011, Lewis is president of NoLimits.org, an issue-based organization that educates the public on issues championed by Hillary Clinton such as health care and women’s rights.
