Hadassah, the Women's Zionist Organization of America, Inc. first met on February 24th, 1912 at Temple Emanu-El in New York City. The Temple congregation later moved to their present building uptown, and an office building now stands on the site of this meeting, on 5th Avenue between 43rd and 44th streets.
