Jewish Women on the Map - Sculpture of "Make Way for Ducklings"
Location
One of Boston's most beloved public sculptures was created by Newton, MA artist Nancy Schon in honor of the children's book by Robert McCloskey. The sculpture was dedicated in 1987. You can read more about Nancy Schon and the sculpture project at http://www.schon.com/public/ducklings-boston.php
Nancy Schon's sculptures are often seen in public places, ranging from "Winnie the Pooh," which sits by the Newton Free Library, in Newton Centre, MA, to "Scholarly, Whimsical, Gentle & Lucky Dragon" in Naples, FL, and a "Dancing Girl" in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Schon was the "person of the week" at the Newton Tab on June 7, 2012
